Fig. 1 — From section to cited result18 × 24 in column · f′c 4 ksi · fy 60 ksi · Pu −200 kip
01 · Section308 fibers · 8 bars

The section is meshed into fibers. Strain is linear through the depth; each fiber takes its stress from the material curve.

02 · EngineM–φ, fiber integration
φ 6.0e-4M 559 k·ft

Curvature is stepped from first crack to failure. Each step re-solves the neutral axis for equilibrium with Pu.

Pu = −200 kip held at each stepEquilibrium, ΣF = 0
c = 6.6 in from strain compatibilityACI 318-19 §22.2.1
εc = −0.0018 · εt = 0.0044Linear strain, §22.2.1.2
M = 513 k·ft at φ = 2.7 × 10⁻⁴ /inFiber integration

The output is a calc your checker can follow: each value sits beside the clause or method that produced it.

Fig. 2 — P-M-M interaction, ACI 318-19Major-axis slice · DCR read at the demand’s axial load, on the φ-factored surface

A DCR for every load case, and the line that defines it.

Each demand is checked at its own axial load. The capacity is read off the φ-factored surface in the same moment direction, and the ratio of the two is the DCR. Select a load case to hold it.

Cycling through load cases.
